Als Hamam wird ein türkisches oder orientalisches Bad bezeichnet
A Hamam is a turkish or oriental bath. It is not only for cleaning the body. Visiting a Hamam is true enjoyment for body and soul. It seems that every day life is just washed away by soapsud and water in comfortable warmth with absorbed light. Step into this paradise of bath enjoyment and discover yourself.
Dressed in a bikinislip/swimming trunk accessorily shrouded in a Pestemal (cloth) you enter the bath. At first you take a seat at a free marble water basin. The water from the marble basin (Kurna) will be poured over your body with copper dishes whilst seated. Rinsed from tip to toe with warm water you lie down on a heated marble pedestal (Göbektasi). This way through the warmth the muscles are eased and the main pores open up. The wet cloth you are wearing prevents the body from undercooling and overheating the whole time.
Continuous visits not only convey your well being but also your health: Warm steam releases tension and opens the pores of the skin. Through cleaning, scoriae and toxins will be discarded efficiently. Your metabolism and blood circulation revives. Your cardiovascular system will be animated and your body's defence activated.
